My family plays basketball together and have lots of 3v3's it's important because it goes through the family.

Creation Story: Earth formed around 4.54 billion years ago, approximately one-third the age of the universe, by accretion from the solar nebula. Volcanic outgassing probably created the primordial
atmosphere and then the ocean, but the early atmosphere contained almost no oxygen.

New Science lab

Aim: to learn how to behave in a science
laboratory.

1. pay attention

2. Act responsibly around dangerous objects

3. Do not run

4. put your bag under your desk

5. No food in the laboratory

6. Do not sniff or taste substances.

  • Test tube - used for most experiments using liquids. They have a bung that goes in the top.
  • Conical Flask - used for experiments with liquid up to 150 ml. The flask has a rubber bung for the top and the glass is heatproof.
  • Glass Stirring rod - A 20cm glass rod used to stir and mix any liquids together.
  • Test tube tongs - These are used to hold a hot test tube after an experiment.
  • Spatula - For holding very small amounts of chemical powders.
  • Funnel
  • Measuring Cylinder - this is used to measure liquids for experiments. The liquids will be poured into a beaker or test tube once measured out.

ACIDIFICATION

1. What is happening to the oceans
  • it is absorbing more co2.
2. What does this do to shellfish
  • it kills the shellfish.

Decomposition

Aim: To learn about the rate that different materials decompose.
Hypothesis: That the banana is going to decompose fast because

Materials:

  • Bananas
  • brown paper
  •  bread
  • white stylophone
  •  air stopper
  •   4x science chub
  •   science chub holder
  •   sticky note
  • pen
Steps:
  •  Get the stuff that you need
  •  write the names of the group
  •  put the bread, banana, white stylophone, brown paper
  •  put the science chub in the science chub holder
  •  put the air stopper in the science chubs
  •  stick the stick note on the science chub holder
  •  put it somewhere it can decompose

Title: Water cycle experiment.

Purpose: learn how the water cycle works and how plush in consternates the water.

Materials
  • 1x zip-lock plastic Bag’s (A4).
  • Vivid pen.
  • 100 ml of soda water.
  • Blue food coloring.
  • Limited paper.
  • Baking soda.
  • Double-sided type 20 cm.

Procedure
1. Draw a picture of the water cycle on the bag.
2. Open the bag and poor 50 ml of soda water in the bag.
3. Put two drops of blue food coloring in the bag.
4. Put one teaspoon of baking soda in the soda water
5. Put the limit paper betwen the zip on the bag.
6. Use 20 cm double sided tape to stick it on the window.
Findings:

The Water Cycle
Acid Water Cycle
Does it cycle?
22
Amount of Water
22
Acidity
02

Key: Water and acidity amount: 0 = none
1 = small
2 = large
Comments:
  1. The water cycle did cycle, we had high amounts of water and it did not a lot of acid
  2. The water cycle did cycle, we had high amounts of water and it did have a lot of acid.

Issues of climate change

Aim: To learn about the different activities that contribute to climate change,

1.Electricity

2.Factories

3.Waste

4.Cows

5.Food

6.Transport

Transportation:
Most cars need gas or diesel to work there come from oil, which is a fossil fuel. The carbon-di-oxide in oil gose into the atmosphere when the car is running.

Cows:
Cows create a greenhouse gas called methane when thay burp and fart. methane is a greenhouse gas that is 25 times more powerful than carbon dioxide. With about 1.5 billion cows around the world, methane is having a big effect on climate change.

Food:
Transport food by ships, planes, trains, and trucks adds carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.
